Joining the K-16 Bridge Program
We are currently putting together our first group of community colleges wanting to implement the K-16 Bridge Program starting in the fall of 2008. We are limiting this first group to 15 community colleges.
Implementation
The implementation plan is divided into three phases:
Phase One: 12th graders. We start with the twelfth grade so that we can begin to create a college climate and start the process of building a relationship with all of the different educational institutions in a community colleges area.
Phase Two: 9th-12th
Phase Three: 4th-12th program.
From day one representatives from elementary, middle and high schools are invited to participate in the training sessions so that they can see how the program works and preview the future phases. In order for this program to be successful all educational stakeholders must have a clear idea of what is expected of them and how they fit in this exciting process. For more information click on Contacts and either email or call Chris Piercy at the K-16 Bridge Program.
